The procedure for renewal of trademark registration involves the submission of the corresponding application and payment of the national fee in Italy in advance - 12 months before the expiry of the registered protection of the trademark.

If the owner of the trademark has missed the deadline for renewal of legal protection, he has the right to renew the mark within six months from the date on which the registration expired. Then the fee will be higher by 34 euros.
